Vacation in Tenerife

When it comes to trips to exotic islands, I can confidently recommend the island of Tenerife, Spain. Coming from someone who has lived on the island, Tenerife is a place where warmth and fun are perfectly combined. My advice is to rent an apartment for 1 month, because the rent for 1 month is almost the same as a hotel stay for 1 week. Food and the bare necessities come to about 100 euros per month, if you shop at the grocery store (don’t worry, you just need to have a stove; the food found in the grocery store is much better than what you will eat at a restaurant). When the normal tourist, who doesn’t want to try all the delicacies and taste everything he has never tasted in his life, arrives in Tenerife, with 20 euros per week, he can do very well.

Once you arrive in Tenerife, probably in the south of the island, because the south is the part for tourists, once you have settled in, my advice is to take a walk on the cliff at Monkey Beach. I assure you that you will find an ice cream shop with about 30 different varieties, a unique thing in Tenerife, a perfect moment to test one of the different ice cream varieties, and to sit on the cliff testing your luck on PokerStars.ro.

If you want to visit the island, my advice is to go to a tour operator (don’t worry if you don’t know where to find them, they will find you), but remember, you have to bargain, because everyone works on commission and will ask you for the maximum price. If you can bargain, you will manage to get 50% discounts. The main attractions are Siam Park and Loro Parque. The first is a water-based amusement park, the second is a kind of zoo, with exotic animals.

Don’t forget to take advantage of the bars on the seafront, most of which offer customers a pint of beer for just 1 euro. Keep in mind that this offer is valid until almost 8 pm, so you have plenty of time to eat and have fun while drinking a beer and admiring the beach.

The nightlife is excellent, especially when it comes to cheap drinks and tourists looking to have fun. Veronica’s Street is one of the most populated streets in Tenerife Sur. Starting at 9 pm, people slowly start to gather at the multitude of bars located along Veronica’s Street. You will find, from beginning to end, bars with music for every genre, fast food stands, starting from fish and chips to burgers and shawarma, discos, and restaurants. Most pubs have a different program every night, with different people playing stars as guests. You will see an abundance of performers from Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Michael Jacks, and many others. Although these pubs change their program every night, my advice is not to spend more than one night in the same place, because there are so many different and beautiful things to see. You can take a trip to the neighboring island of La Gomera, an island that has been preserved as much as possible in its original state, with tourism not influencing the lifestyle of the natives.

Whatever happens, be sure to diversify your daily activities, and no matter how attractive certain things may seem, don’t spend more than a day, maximum two, in that place.
